Just a woman, navigating life.
September Marden’s story isn’t so different. She was born on a hot day to parents well established in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was baptized at eight, received her Young Women’s Recognition Award at sixteen, graduated Seminary at seventeen, attended BYU at eighteen, and was sealed in the temple at twenty. Her first child came a few months after she graduated.
In her late twenties she found the church essays on polygamy. Those essays lead her down a rabbit hole of research, books, podcasts, a lot of tears, and the realization that she didn’t know her religion. Since then she’s been navigating life in and out of the Mormon church.
